If you’ve logged on to twitter or facebook this morning you may have noticed a great number of your friends supporting a new movement for social good – #Kony2012.

We were interested in the documentary produced for this campaign that garnered, at the time of this writing, 6.6 million views on Vimeo and 4.3 million views on Youtube. So our team took the time out, huddled in the room that has a 52″ television in which we normally use for viewing finished projects, and watched the Kony 2012 documentary via Youtube on Apple TV.

Directed by Jason Russell, ‘Kony 2012′ moves you through a series of emotions from beginning to end. It is such a strong and powerful story that everyone can relate to, no matter the nationality, race, etc. that gives you a sense of urgency to make a difference, not with money, but with tools we use everyday – Facebook, Twitter, Email, social media. Jason Russell was able to depict a movement that even his son was interested in getting involved at such a young age.

Here at Steadyimage Multimedia, we are supporting the #Kony2012 movement and we encourage you to do the same. We have the power to influence change and to save a lives. Use it!

THE HEART OF SUMMER “Official Trailer”

The Heart of Summer is a romantic love story about a young college student, Omari, who writes a book about an amazing summer experience after returning home from school in Atlanta. His life in college had transformed his identity from that of his family’s upbringing. After returning home, Omari visits his old family church with his family where he had a brief encounter with a very beautiful and attractive young lady named Naomi. Within days of meeting they both became inseparable and felt a natural bond that defied the norm of their very being, and one which they both never thought existed. But Naomi’s over-protective father would see to it that theirs would not be an easy ride.

This independent film was shot in under 14 days using the REDone Camera with a full and loyal crew going 18 – 20 hours on some days.

The promoter of the 21st century knows no boundaries as far as reaching an audience. Gone are the days of relying on gate tickets sales. The www made sure of that. Have an event and reach a global audience with web streaming through Steadyimage. When Michelle Catin from rbb PR in Coral Gables, FL contacted us to produce promotional videos of the new “Trial Pad for iPad” mobile application, we pulled out all the stops! Using our trusted SONY XDCAM EX series we captured magnificent footage and provided exactly what was needed for  the Trial Pad for iPad campaign to succeed. As a bonus, we upgraded and animated the Trial Pad logo, and provided professional voice over to give the project that additional punch.

What are you doing to keep the environment clean?

Saturday, February 18th, 2012, The One Love Nutrifest, presented by the Rockaz Mvmt and Budweiser, was held at Grand Central Park in Downtown Miami. Artists such as Luciano, Midnite, Jahfe, Gondwana, Cultura Profetica, and many more lit up the stage for electrifying performances, while consistently promoting the Green initiative for the night, “One Love Nutrifest – Keeping the environment clean”. Steadyimage provided coverage for the live event with 6 cameras, including our lovely GoPro Hero HD Cameras (we never leave the studio without them).

To add to our continuous innovative approach in each production, we were given the privilege to use the brand new compact audio video mixing switcher built by Sony, the Sony MCS 8M {link}. With 4 SDI outputs and 3 HDMI outputs, we couldn’t help but want to get our hands on this switcher first. And yes, we were the first in Florida to utilize such a great product that will honestly make live production a lot easier for us and will add ease to our clients pockets.

Thursday, February 16^th, our director Adrian Allen from Steadyimage was featured on the .video show with Jesse Miller (pronounced “dot video show”) for the innovative work he was able to accomplish by using the GoPro Hero HD Cameras in Jamaica this past January. Our Steadyimage team filmed a music video exclusively on 4 GoPro Hero HD cameras, and also produced the 2012 Jamaica Jazz and Blues using the GoPro cameras within the live mix, which had never been done before.

“We have produced the Jamaica Jazz and Blues for the past 6 years, but this year we wanted to be extremely innovative and kick it up a notch,” explained Adrian Allen. “We used 3 GoPros on stage as point-of-view cameras to complement the 5 Sony EX3s also used for the live show and live mix.”

How can you say no to an interview with Jimmy Buffett?

A couple of weeks ago we were honored when we received the call to film a short interview with the legendary singer-songwriter and businessman Jimmy Buffett. The interview will be featured in a special documentary highlighting the 50th Anniversary of Jamaica’s Independence, titled OnePeople.

Below are a couple of behind the scenes pictures from our shoot. We would like to thank Frame by Frame Productions and 1962 Productions for trusting us to capture such an important piece to their project and giving us the privilege to participate in celebrating Jamaican history.

new branding

The Multimedia design team at Steadyimage.net were called upon to create a new look and feel for the 2012 Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival. The Art of Music Productions felt it was time to upgrade their brand in an attempt to express the new vibe of the event. In addition to new logos, Steadyimage created the festival’s new website www.JamaicaJazzandBlues.com along with all the promotional web videos, TV and radio adverts as well as Social Media Management service via our sister company, SocialBugz.

Celine Dion will make her Caribbean debut at the 16th annual Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival which will be held Jan. 26-28, 2012, at the Greenfield Multi Purpose Stadium, Trelawny, a 30 minute drive from Jamaica’s resort capital Montego Bay. Also on the lineup: hip hop-funkster (and vocal coach on NBC’s The Voice) Cee-Lo Green, The Temptations Revue (featuring Dennis Edwards) and acclaimed jazz guitarist Earl Klugh.

“This is the only show Celine is doing besides her Las Vegas gigs and it will be the most memorable event ever staged in Jamaica,” enthused Jamaica Jazz and Blues producer Walter Elmore, CEO of Art of Music Productions (AMP).
Dion commenced her second Las Vegas residency, “Celine” at The Colosseum, Caesers Palace, Las Vegas, on March 15 and which will run through 2014.  Billboard’s Boxscore listings ranked “Celine” the number one show in North America with 54 consecutive sold out performances before 230,000 fans between March and August 2011.

Born in Charlemagne, Quebec, Dion, 43, is Canada’s all time best selling artist and the second best-selling female artist in the U.S. of the Nielsen SoundScan era. In 2004 she was honored with the Chopard Diamond Award at the World Music Awards in Monaco as the best-selling female artist of all time, based on sales figures from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI); according to Sony Music Entertainment, Dion has sold over 200 million albums worldwide.
